Description:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the efficient movement of products in and out of the warehouse. This role ensures that all incoming raw materials meet quality standards before reaching the production floor and that all finished products are accurately packaged and documented for timely delivery to customers.


Key Responsibilities:


Receiving Operations

  • Unload & Inspect: Promptly unload delivery trucks and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy against purchase orders or packing slips.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify and report any damage, missing, or incorrect items immediately to supervisor.


Shipping Operations

  • Order Fulfillment: Pull, pack, and prepare outgoing finished goods according to company standards and carrier regulations.
  • Generate accurate shipping documents, including bills of lading (BOL), packing slips, and tracking labels.
  • Schedule pickups and coordinate with freight carriers, couriers (e.g., Fed Ex, UPS), and truck drivers.


Warehouse Maintenance

  • Assist with regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory to ensure system accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace while adhering to all OSHA safety protocols.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, to move materials throughout the facility.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting 35–50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance.
  • Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.


Working Conditions

  • Exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold) depending on weather and warehouse ventilation.


Requirements:

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License and Must be able to pass a drug test.
